Thank you for making your way here. It's not much at the moment, but hopefully that will be changing in the coming weeks.
Before I get started on myself, I want to give praise to the amazing Rosalie Stanton. Not only is she the greatest author on the planet, but she also took time out of her busy schedule to design my banner and layout. She is indeed a woman of many talents.
I've always been a lover of a happy ending. My vivid imagination along with my plight as a hopeless romantic made me turn to reading at a young age. As I grew older, I realized that the world was a better place when I focused on the stories in my head. My writings have been limited due to having a mind much quicker than my fingers, but now that I've realized one of my dreams in life I'm not going to let it get the best of me.
You'll notice quickly that I have a passion for politics. I graduated in 2007 with a degree in Politics and Government and it often finds its way into my work. I can't help but find campaigns, elections, legislation and Washington D.C. sexy. Hopefully, by the time you finishing reading my works you'll understand what I'm talking about.
I literally have five different story ideas in my head right now. Unfortunately, I've never been the speediest of writers. With a little patience and a who;e lot of encouragement, I hope to get my first work ready for submission by the end of the year.
In the mean time, I look forward to making a few friends and gaining more insight into the publishing world!
I can't wait for you to get going. And it'll be a LOT sooner than a year if you stick to what we discussed last night. ^_~
ReplyDeleteYeah, that sounded a bit pervy, didn't it? >.>
LOL. Well, we all know you're a bit pervy, so it's okay! And yes, I'm really excited about everything we discussed last night! :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome, Nikki! I can't wait to read one of your books, and I'm not just saying that. Now that I *know* Rosalie, I deeply desire a glimpse into the mind of one of her cohorts. *Giggle*
ReplyDeleteHere's my lone bit of advice: when you beat your head against something in frustration over words that won't come, I don't suggest victimizing your keyboard. It's a most excellent way to accidentally delete that one sentence you actually loved (but, of course, won't be able to remember once it's gone).
Don't ask.
WELCOME!
Thank you Sarah for the warm welcome! I just finished Down In Flames and absolutely LOVED it! I need to get around to posting some reviews for it because I think it should be on every must-read list in the world! lol
ReplyDeleteHi Nikki. I, like you, love happy endings. I started reading at a young age, which led to writing. I began with poetry, but decided I wanted more than beautiful words on paper. I wanted to create a story, my own little imaginary world. I love going there and forgetting about how crazy and hectic my life can be.
ReplyDeleteI am interested in your work and look forward to you finishing it. Wishing you the best.
Thank you K. I look forward to reading your works as well!

You captured my thoughts perfectly!
Ooh, another paranormalist (that's a real word. I said so). So, which is it? Shapeshifters? Vampires? Demons? I love 'em all. :D
ReplyDeleteI recite the war cry of all writers-of-filth: "RITE MOAR WURDZ NAO!"
Thanks, Scarlett for stopping by! I'm mainly contemp. but I do enjoy vamps, demons and witches. Hopefully, I should get started on my paranormal plots after I finish up my WIP Southern Comfort.
